Labor Day Rehearsal

Several ladies in the chorus decided to come to a rehearsal on Labor Day Monday even though Bill, our Director, was away on vacation. BGail Hillyer from Northwest Harmony Chorus in Vancouver, WA, was visiting our President, Pam Lee and generously agreed to coach us last night. BGail is an accomplished director, music instructor and performer and we all enjoyed her methods of teaching. Sometimes it's good to get a different perspective on how to approach our craft. Her tips and suggestions were well received and we laughed a lot, as we usually do at our rehearsals! Some of our members even categorized her coaching as "inspirational.' BGail brought her guitar along and after rehearsal we had an improptu sing-a-long and played with making up harmonies on the fly. Great fun!
